ACE Process

 

STEP ONE: Complete Prerequisites and Online Requirements

Before you can register for a classroom course, you must complete the appropriate prerequisites. These prerequisites differ depending on the certification, and can be found by navigating to AMX University, then clicking on the actual title of the desired course listing. If you do not complete these requirements, you will not be able to register.

Likewise, you should also complete all OnDemand requirements before attending class. These courses contain conceptual knowledge that will make your experience in class go more smoothly if you take them before class begins.

STEP TWO: Attend Classroom Course

To register for a classroom course, Enter AMX University and then click on Classroom Courses and Certifications. If you have yet to register for the 2012 Classroom Courses Learn Track, register. Then, locate your desired class and time, and register.

When you attend class, you will receive hands-on teaching from one of AMX University's highly experienced, field-tested technical trainers. AMX University classroom courses have been crafted to meet the educational needs of industry professionals in all of our verticals.

AMX University classroom training is offered free of charge to AMX dealers and Education Alliance Partners (EAP). Non-dealers are welcomed to take AMX training at a rate of $300 a day.

NOTE: Certain AMX University training certificates (Control System Design Certified, for example) do not require a classroom course.

STEP THREE: Complete Written/Practical Exams

At the end of the classroom course, you will be required to complete written and/or practical exams. Depending on the class, these exams will either be completed in class or at a later time (your instructor will advise you). Be aware that you will not receive certification until the exams have been completed, turned in, and graded. If the practical exam is completed at home, know that there is often a queue of practical exams to be graded, so please be patient. You will be contacted by AMX University when the exam has been graded. If you have not heard from AMX University in 90 days, feel free to contact Training Help for an update.

STEP FOUR: Complete ACE Agreement

Before your certification can be processed, you must complete the ACE Agreement. Once you agree to the terms and conditions and complete the agreement (and provided you have completed all other requirements), your certification will be pushed to the Achievements section of AMX University and to your ACE Profile on AMX.com.

STEP FIVE: Receive Certificate/Shirt

Once you have completed all requirements, including the ACE Agreement, you will be contacted by AMX University Training Help about where to send your certification and t-shirt. You can also begin using the ACE logo and use the ACE terminology in your business communications.
